From nedensdorf around the eierberge mountains

The start of this attractive walk is the center of nedensdorf at the church. In the nearby parking facilities. First of all, follow the red ring road (nedensdorfer eierbergrundweg) in a northerly direction, which turns off to the left after only a few meters at sign 0003, just before the inn. On a paved path it goes first uphill and soon dead straight on free flat direction edge of the forest.
Shortly before entering the forest, hikers should not miss the beautiful view of the main valley. On the forest path, you continue to follow the red ring until you reach the main hiking trail, which first leads to the left along the edge of the forest and then into the forest again. On beautiful paths through mostly sparse deciduous and mixed forest, after about one and a half kilometers of quite steep ascent, one reaches the high ridge of the eierberge, where in spring, before the trees on the left of the path sprout, one can discover magnificent views of the main valley, vierzehnheiligen and the staffelberg. The latter can also be found if you leave the main hiking trail at sign 2670 for a few hundred meters and continue straight ahead along the yellow ring trail (see also tour description 18) and enjoy the wonderful view that opens up at several tree- and bush-free spots on the left side of the trail.
On the descent, a pleasant forest path soon leads back to the mainwanderweg, which meets the keltenweg C after about 400 meters – at the turning point of this tour, so to speak. If you follow the latter to the left in a northerly direction, great views open up here again and again due to forest rejuvenation reductions – this time especially of bad staffelstein and in the direction of the staffel and veitsberg mountains. After another kilometer the celtic path C leaves the forest road. For the following passage on a narrow forest path, sturdy shoes are advantageous in damp weather. On leaving the forest, one is again rewarded with beautiful panoramic views of the main valley towards lichtenfels as well as of banz monastery. Shortly before nedensdorf, after about 100 meters on the road, you turn left, where a very nice bench with a wonderful view of nedensdorf as well as the lake area west of bad staffelstein behind it awaits the hiking enthusiast above the natural monument trimeusel – which at least invites you to a short stay.
